In a unexpected collaboration that breaks conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Revealed

According to the authorized statement, "A strange encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of prohibited rituals and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret cult.

The adventure focuses on "strange experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Extra Material

Players who finish the adventure will obtain an special katana in addition to multiple items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
